Faithful to the Calling
Our calling at TWR is "to reach the world for Christ by mass media so that lasting fruit is produced," and on today's Footsteps, TWR President Lauren Libby discusses the importance of being faithful to that calling. As you listen to the program, think about what the Lord told His people through the prophet Isaiah:
"For a people shall dwell in Zion, in Jerusalem; you shall weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. As soon as he hears it, he answers you. And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide himself anymore, but your eyes shall see your Teacher. And your ears shall hear a word behind you saying, 'This is the way, walk in it,' when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left." (Isaiah 30:19-21, ESV)
When our omniscient, omnipresent, gracious, loving, and sovereign God assembles and calls a group of believers to accomplish a special assignment and says, "This is the way, walk in it," how can that particular ministry consider doing anything else? They shouldn't! That's why we at TWR must stay faithful to our calling. Besides, we're not alone in our work. We know that our Teacher, the Lord Jesus Christ, is walking with us, guiding us, and providing for us every step of the way.
