Over the last ten years, I have become a morning reader of the Bible.  However, when I look back to my twenties, at that time, I favored reading Scripture in bed at night.  I even distinctly remember wondering, "Is it disrespectful to God to fall asleep while reading the Bible?"  I decided that it was perfectly okay.  I likened it to a child falling asleep in the arms of a parent while they were reading a bedtime story together.  I suspect that Joost Bastiaans of TWR-Netherlands and Belgium would agree.  He wraps up today's Footsteps by mentioning TWR's evening programming in the Netherlands.  Commenting on a 15-minute nightly program, Joost states with a smile, "It's great to go to sleep with the Word of God."
