I was born and grew up in Tennessee which is certainly part of the "Bible Belt."  I even attended college in Nashville--a city that is often referred to as the "Buckle of the Bible Belt."  So, Christianity was an integral part of the culture in which I was raised.  That's not the case in many parts of Europe.  On today's Footsteps, Joost Bastiaans of TWR-Netherlands and Belgium explains how their ministry goes about introducing a completely secular audience to the basics of Christianity.  It sounds a lot like the city of Corinth in the apostle Paul's day.

"But I, brothers, could not address you as spiritual people, but as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ.  I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it.  And even now you are not yet ready." (1 Corinthians 3:1-2, ESV)
