Nations One uses radio to make disciples of Jesus among the First Nations people living in the most remote regions of Canada.  Dan Hatfield serves as the CEO of Nations One, and on today's Footsteps, Dan talks about the programming of the Nations One network which includes Bible reading and teaching as well as First Nations "country Gospel" music. "Boy, I tell you the worship is so authentic!" Dan exclaims.

Let's briefly consider "authentic" worship.  In John 4:24 (NKJV), when Jesus speaks with the Samarian woman at the well, He tells her, "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."  Concerning worship, Dr. Erwin Lutzer, Pastor Emeritus of the Moody Church in Chicago, explains:

"We must worship in truth.  Worship is not just an emotional exercise but a response of the heart built on truth about God. 'The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth' (Psalm 145:18).  Worship that is not based on God's Word is but an emotional encounter with oneself."(1)

Like the First Nations people of Canada who are listening to Nations One, learning the truth of Scripture, and authentically worshiping the Lord, may we all "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18, NKJV) and worship Him "in truth."  That indeed is authentic worship!
