For years, one of my favorite Bible verses has been Jeremiah 15:16 (ESV):

"Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O LORD, God of hosts."

Then recently, as I was conducting a Footsteps interview with Brazilian Bible scholar Luiz Sayao, I heard my guest say, "When I was thirteen, I took the decision to serve the Lord, and I was like eating the Bible."  That's it!  Across the table from me was a living example of Jeremiah 15:16.  You see, not only does Dr. Sayao study Scripture, but he "eats" it, and not only is he learning God's Word, but the Bible is bringing him joy and delight!

As you listen to today's Footsteps, I hope you can hear the smile on Dr. Sayao's face as he talks about the Bible.  Believe me, Luiz has a genuine love for God's Word!
