Today Was Very Scary
On September 7, 1940, the German Luftwaffe began bombing the city of London. This 8-month air attack became known as "The Blitz." During The Blitz, more than a million homes in London were destroyed and over 40,000 civilians were killed. And yet, even in the midst of death and destruction, the people of London remained determined to continue with their daily lives. This strong resolve became known as "Blitz Spirit."
Dirk Mueller is TWR's International Director for Europe, and on today's Footsteps, he reads some text messages that he has been receiving from the TWR-Ukraine staff. The wartime conditions that they are experiencing are reminiscent of The Blitz, and at the same time, their strength of will reminds me of Blitz Spirit. Please pray for the brave men and women who serve with TWR-Ukraine.
