God’s Vision
Things like a breathtaking painting in a museum, a massive bridge, and the intricate pieces that make up the hard drive of a computer are all reminders that our world is filled with gifted people who make our world richer with their accomplishments. However, nothing great can be accomplished without a vision.
We may be tempted to look at these amazing endeavors and think, “That is truly wonderful, but I am not talented. I could never fulfill a vision that big.” While we may not feel qualified, worthy, or equipped, God says that we are all these things. It is time for us to believe Him and begin to have His vision for the things He wants to accomplish through us.
The key to recognizing and fulfilling God’s vision is simple: We see a need before us, and we meet that need. God has promised to give us everything we need to meet the needs around us. All we need to do is trust Him and share His vision, driven by the desire to glorify His name.
Prayer: God, I don’t feel capable of doing great things for You, but You’ve promised to give me everything I need to do what You call me to. Help me to embrace the vision You have for me and to trust You to accomplish it through me. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5).
