Jesus warned His disciples, "In this world you will have trouble ..." (John 16:33, NIV).  You might be thinking, "Andy, why don't you tell us something POSITIVE!"  I will.  But first, we need to be reminded of the NEGATIVE--that our present world is full of trials.  Life can be hard no matter where you live, and on today's Footsteps, TWR missionaries Jason and Adina Helmholdt point out that daily life on the mission field can have the same challenges as life back at home.  And yet, believers can hold onto this promise from Jesus.  It's found in the rest of that verse I just quoted: "In this world you will have trouble.  But take heart!  I have overcome the world."  Thank you Lord Jesus for your grace, strength, peace, and overcoming power!
