How does a missionary or ministry carry the Gospel to a completely unreached people group?  What about if that people group doesn't read or write?  In fact, what if they have never had a written language?  That's what the Schoen family encountered with several people groups in the jungles of Suriname.  And, there was really only one effective way to disciple them in the Word of God.  It took time ... as in years.  As Tom Schoen explains on today's Footsteps, they had to do it "the hard way."  I encourage you to listen to today's episode and then watch a film about the Schoen family's longtime ministry in South America.
