I'm a history buff, and I generally keep up with current news stories.  But I must admit that until my conversation with TWR's Boaz Seong, I knew nothing about the North Korean famine that took place in the 1990s and early 2000s.  On today's Footsteps, Boaz refers to the famine as "The Big Hunger Time."  I encourage you to spend a few minutes researching this often overlooked event in world history.  It will give you some needed perspective as you listen to today's episode.
