"This program is like a little seed planted in the soil of my heart," wrote a TWR listener from Lithuania.  TWR's Harry Bettig tells her story on today's Footsteps.  Her comments line up exactly with the Parable of the Sower.  In Luke chapter 8, Jesus teaches that ...

"A sower went out to sow his seed.  And as he sowed, some fell along the path and was trampled underfoot, and the birds of the air devoured it.  And some fell on the rock and as it grew up, it withered away, because it had no moisture.  And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up with it and choked it.  And some fell into good soil and grew and yielded a hundredfold." (Luke 8:5-8a, ESV)

Jesus went on to explain to his disciples that "The seed is the word of God" (Luke 8:11b, ESV).  You see, "the word of God" was sown by way of Thru the Bible and broadcast on TWR into this Lithuania woman's ears.  She received the message into the "good soil" of her heart, and it's been growing and yielding spiritual fruit in her life ever since.  What Jesus taught 2000 years ago is happening today in this lady's life!  May God be praised for the powerful and timeless truth of Scripture.
