Go to the Tall Tower
Over and over, as I've interviewed missionaries in Muslim areas, I've heard stories of how Muslims are experiencing dreams and visions which point them to Christ. This phenomenon is not new. On today's program, "Timothy," a missionary to Indonesia, tells the story of a Muslim man who had a dream about 25 years ago. In this man's vision, "there was a building that had a tall tower," and he was told to go there so that he might learn about "the way." That tall tower was a steeple, and the building was a church.
I've noticed that with many of these dreams and visions, the Muslims are being directed to a church or to a particular believer who will introduce them to the one true God. We shouldn't be surprised. You see, the Lord uses the body of Christ, the Church, to accomplish his work which certainly includes evangelism and discipleship. Put yourself in the shoes of a missionary or pastor, and imagine your reaction when a Muslim comes up to you and says, "I've had a dream that I'm supposed to come and ask you to show me the way to God and Heaven." It's happening, and it's exciting!
