Since 1941, the bible teaching of Dr. J. Vernon McGee has been heard on radio.  These days, Thru The Bible is aired around the world in over 100 languages.  So, why has Dr. McGee's teaching endured?  First and foremost, the Word of God is eternal--"Your word, LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens" (Psalm 119:89, NIV).  Secondly, I think Dr. McGee's style of teaching and his on-air delivery is very listenable.  As Gregg Harris, the International Director for Thru the Bible, puts it, Dr. McGee "didn't preach at people on the radio, he talked to them."
