The Bible begins in Genesis 1:1 (NKJV) with, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."  In between "the heavens and the earth," beginning about 35 miles above the earth's surface, is the ionosphere.  Do I understand much about the ionosphere and how it is "ionized?"  Can I explain it to you?  Abosolutely not!  I'll leave that to TWR's George Ross who gives a brief explanation on today's Footsteps.  What I do know is that both AM and Short-Wave radio utilize the ionosphere at night so that their signals can travel great distances.  So, while I don't really understand the physics of the ionosphere, I have no doubt that God designed and created it, in part, to carry the Gospel via radio around the world.
