I recently ran across this quote: "Grace isn't a little prayer you chant before receiving a meal.  It's a way of life."  Some sources attribute the quote to contemporary mystery writer Jacqueline Winspear while others point to nineteenth century evangelist D.L. Moody as the original author.  Regardless of the quote's origin, it contains truth.  An authentic Christian's life must go much deeper than a quick, repitious prayer before lunch or supper.  However, let's say that a person who has never prayed prior to diving into her plate suddently bows her head and thanks God for the food.  Wait a second, something has really changed here!  That's the case in the story that "Charlotte" shares on today's Footsteps.
