What does Effective Prayer LOOK like? LIVE Q&A: Sept. 28, 2023 w/ David Guzik
Welcome to the weekly live Q&A with Pastor David Guzik, author of the Enduring Word Bible commentary. Before taking your questions via the live chat, Pastor David's lead question comes via "Greenmachine" a viewer within our wonderful TWR360 audience: "If we have faith as small as a grain of mustard seed and should have believing faith when we pray, why do we ask so many people to pray for one request? For instance, when a loved one gets sick, we may put the prayer request on the church prayer chain, then ask someone at another church to do the same. So, for one request, we may have 100-300 people praying. (I know the following is not accurate, but just trying to make a point) Are we using a shotgun method of prayer (many prayers being said in hopes that one may “hit the target”), or just trying to hit a “goal line” on the faith-o-meter? Couldn’t we just ask one faith-believing person (i.e. a pastor) to pray for the request (again…just using those “silly” example to make a point.) Thank you very much!!"
