In 1 Peter 2:11-12, brother Gideon Levytam directs our attention to the apostle Peter’s appeal to the scattered believers in the Lord Jesus the Messiah. Peter was appointed by Yeshua - Jesus, to be the apostle to his Jewish people, the circumcision, according to Galatians 2:7-8. In his love towards his suffering and scattered brethren, Peter wrote them two letters to encourage them during their trials. Peter charged them to live godly lives, not only for the LORD and for their own sakes, but also for the sake of the unbelievers. He further directs these suffering brethren to the wonderful person of their Lord and Messiah, the One who is the Shepherd and overseer of their souls.
