From Genesis 17:19 and 21:12, Gideon Levytam points to the fifth prophetic promise found in the Hebrew Scriptures concerning the coming of the Messiah. God made a promise to Abraham saying, "Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed, and thou shalt call his name Isaac." Genesis 17:19. As the years passed by and Abraham and Sarah became old, they were laughing at the thought that they will have a son in their old age. Yet God’s promise of a redeemer, the Messiah, must be fulfilled in God’s perfect timing. In due time, God visited Sarah and Isaac was born, of whom God said, "in Isaac shall thy seed be called." Geneses 21:12b.
