From 1 Corinthians 1:26-31, Gideon Levytam examines Paul's charge to the Corinthian believers to remember their calling. God's people are not to forget that they were chosen by God out of all the people of the world. Chosen not because they were wise, mighty or noble, but because of God’s grace towards them as people who were despised and of little importance. God did so in order that no person will boast in His presence. This great salvation was possible because of God’s wisdom. Through the sacrifice of Jesus the Messiah, all who were called were made righteous before God.
