From Genesis and Numbers, Gideon Levytam points to the sixth prophetic promise found in the Hebrew Scriptures concerning the coming of the Messiah. The Messiah would come from the Seed of Jacob, who's name was later changed to Israel / יִשְׂרָאֵל by God. According to Genesis 25, Jacob's mother Rebekah was barren. His father Isaac intreated the LORD and Rebekah his wife conceived twins, who struggled together while yet inside her. Rebekah turned to the LORD in prayer, and the LORD responded, informing Rebekah what would befall her children in the future. The LORD told her, "Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder (Esau) shall serve the younger (Jacob)," Genesis 25:23. Esau carelessly sold his birthright to his brother Jacob, and then Jacob deceived his father Isaac, thus receiving the blessings of the first born. When Jacob was fleeing to his mothers family, the LORD spoke to him in a dream, saying, "I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac ... in thee (Jacob) and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed". Genesis 28:13-15. The promised seed of Jacob is Yeshua, Jesus the Messiah, who entered into this world through Jacob / Israel's descendants, becoming the Redeemer to all who trust in Him.
