From Chapter 8:1-8 of the prophecy of Daniel (דָנִיאֶל), brother Gideon Levytam speaks on Daniel’s vision during the reign of king Belshazzar of Babylon. Daniel received another vision from God, transporting him to Shushan, the capital city of Persia, prior to Babylon being defeated by Persia. In this vision, Daniel saw a ram, and a goat that came with speed against the ram and smote him. The ram represented the Medo-Persian Empire, and the goat with its horn represented the Grecian Empire. God shows Daniel what will take place in the future, when the Grecians will defeat Medo-Persia and become the next great, strong Empire. God, who is sovereign, knows all that will take place in the future. In His Providence, God directs and controls everything that goes-on in the Empires of the world, in relation to His people Israel.
