From Isaiah 53:6-10, Romans 1:16-17, and other passages found in the New Covenant, brother Gideon Levytam examines Isaiah’s prophecy concerning the coming of the Messiah. Isaiah prophesied to the people of Judah during the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, some 750 years before Yeshua / Jesus the Messiah was born. In his prophecy, Isaiah speaks of a person whom the LORD calls “My Servant” עַבְדִּי; relaying to Israel that the Messiah, was the LORD’s Servant, who would live among His people, would suffer, and eventually die a substitutionary death. The LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all, Isaiah 53:6. After Jesus the Messiah died on a roman cross, He rose from among the dead, fulfilling the LORD’s pleasure, by providing a way of salvation for mankind. Shaul / Paul referred to this historical event, when he said; " but God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross (the death) of our Lord Jesus Christ”. Galatians 6:14.
