From Chapter 8:15-27 of the prophecy of Daniel (דָנִיאֶל), brother Gideon Levytam points to the last portion of Daniel's Vision of the Ram, Goat, Horn, and the king of fierce countenance. Gabriel reveals to Daniel that a Grecian king of fierce countenance, will rise up and magnify himself, and he will bring much destruction against Daniel’s people and the Temple. That king was Antiochus Epiphanes, a cruel and brutal Syrian-Grecian king, who persecuted the Jewish people and desecrated the Temple in Jerusalem. Antiochus Epiphanes is a picture of what the antichrist, the false Messiah, will do in the end of days. Jesus the Messiah speaking of the antichrist said; "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, whoso readeth, let him understand". Matthew 24:15. The angel Gabriel told Daniel to shut up the vision, in other words, to keep it to himself, for it shall be for many days.
