From Chapter 9:25-27 of the prophecy of Daniel (דָנִיאֶל), brother Gideon Levytam continues to speak on the divine time frame that God set forth for the first and second coming of the Messiah. Gabriel instructed Daniel concerning the length of years before Daniel’s people, Israel, would be restored to God, through the atoning death of the promised Messiah. God decreed that the seventy times seven of years, שָׁבֻעִים שִׁבְעִים (490 years) for Israel’s restoration would begin in 445 B.C., the time when Nehemiah received permission to go and rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. These 490 years were to be divided into three different time periods in Israel’s history. The first seven weeks of years (49 years), than sixty-two weeks of years (434 years) and than one week of years (7 years) together a total of 490 years. During these 490 years the Messiah would come, first, to die for the sin of Israel, and the whole world, and years later at His second coming the Messiah would return, and restore Daniel’s people back to God.
