From Chapter 7:1-3 on the study of the Book of Ecclesiastes, (Kohelet-קֹהֶלֶת), brother Gideon Levytam explains that in every situation under the sun, God’s people are to make things better. King Solomon advised his people Israel that to have a good name was more important than having costly perfume. WHY? Because living a godly life honours God and is a blessing to others. That one aught to remember that life is short and that death comes to all of us, for there is appointed a day when each one of us will leave this world. Therefore, even through days of sorrow and sadness, the godly will turn to God, trusting Him to provide them with joy and gladness, despite the circumstances.
