From Chapter 2:5-9 on the study of the Book of Hebrews (אֶל־הָעִבְרִים), brother Gideon Levytam relates the encouragement the suffering Hebrew believers received, concerning the person of the Lord Jesus the Messiah. Guided by the Holy Spirit, the author quotes David’s words from Psalm 8, "What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him”. God did visit man, when the Son of God took union with human nature along with His Divine nature. Jesus the Messiah entered this world through the virgin birth, the Son of God became a man, "a little lower than the angels”, in order to suffer and die a substitutionary death for sins. The Hebrew believers were encouraged to look to heaven by faith, and see Jesus the Messiah, now crowned with glory and honour, which He received from God the Father.
