From Chapter 2:19 - 3:4 of the study of the Book of Esther (אֶסְתֵּר), brother Gideon Levytam points us to the conduct of Mordecai in contrast to the behavior of Haman the Agagite. Mordecai in his service and care for king Ahasuerus, preserved his life when he informed Esther of the plot to slay the king by his servants. At the very same time, Haman who was promoted by the king, sought for himself reverence and honour from all, yet Mordecai the Jew did not bow nor or give Haman reverence. From this portion of scripture we learn of the need to have our heart in the right place.
