Did you know there are two types of Thanksgiving? We are well acquainted with the secondary type—giving thanks to God for all the good gifts we receive from Him. The lesser-known but fundamental primary type is thankfulness for the God who gives us all of our good gifts. It is this primary type that allows us to look up into heaven and give thanks to God even when things are falling apart all around us.
