From the study on the Book of Malachi (מַלְאָכִֽי), chapter 1:6-14, brother Gideon Levytam points us to the longing of God for His people to respond to Him. Malachi, the prophet spoke to the people and the priests saying; A son honours his father, and a servant his master, if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you. While offerings were being offered by the priests of Israel, still God was not pleased when the sacrifices are not offered with a pure heart. The LORD charged His people when their hearts were not pure saying, ye brought offerings which were torn, lame and sick. I cannot accept this of your hand. Yet, the LORD promises that from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same, His name shall be great among those who honour Him.
