In the study of the Book of Malachi (מַלְאָכִֽי), chapter 3:7-15, Brother Gideon Levytam highlights Malachi's appeal to Israel during their time of spiritual decline. Malachi spoke by the Word of the LORD, saying: "Return unto me, and I will return unto you," saith the LORD of hosts. Yet, sadly, Israel questioned their need to return to God. The LORD charged His people with failing to submit to His ordinances and with robbing Him by not bringing their offerings and tithes into His Temple. Malachi continued to emphasize that departing from the LORD brings a curse and judgment, but obedience and a restored heart bring blessings from the LORD. "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith," saith the LORD of hosts, "if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."
