Gideon Levytam shows that in the letter to Philadelphia, Jesus the Messiah commends their faithful keeping of His Word and not denying His name. The Philadelphians practiced brotherly love, using the open door of opportunity provided by Him who has the key of David to faithfully preach the Word of God. Since they kept the word of His patience, He assures them that they will be kept from the hour of Tribulation. The local church of Philadelphia represents the revived and active church age, 1700-1900 A.D.
