" 'What?' the chairman of the Samaritan village hedmen roared. 'What did you say?' And turning to his fellow headmen, he said, 'Did you hear that?' 'Yes, we did!' several answered indignantly. 'And surely the answer is no! Jesus of Nazareth shall not stay in our village!' " There was a good deal of tension between the Samaritans and the Jews - but Jesus showed them a better way.
