From Chapter 2:1-11 of Paul’s letter to the Philippians (אֶל־הַפִּילִפִּיִּים), brother Gideon Levytam describes Paul’s appeal to the believers in Philippi. Shaul / Paul longed for the believers in Jesus the Messiah to be likeminded, undivided, having love towards one another. To obtain this practical unity, they needed to look to Yeshua, who is the greatest example of the “perfect man”. Though equal with God, Jesus the Messiah, willingly humbled Himself, making Himself of no reputation, becoming the obedient servant of the LORD, who gave Himself as a sacrifice for sin on the Roman cross. Therefore God has highly exalted Him, giving Him a name which is above every name.
