Dick Sanders
A long-time evangelist, Dick conducted evangelistic crusades around the UK. While working behind the scenes at a Billy Graham Crusade in 1955, Dick decided to leave his father’s business and enter full-time evangelism. Beginning his ministry in France, Dick first preached from a tent in the market square. In 1960, he joined the Counties Evangelistic work, preaching before crowds of hundreds, thousands and eventually 10,000 during the 10th anniversary of the Way to Life Crusade. More than 300,000 people attended his services in a tent that held 1,000 people before it got swept away by the wind in 1972. Dick passed away in January 2018 and is survived by his wife, Betty, who resides in southeast England.
