Steve Gaines is known as a man of prayer and a preacher of God’s Word. Since 2005, he has served as the Senior Pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, TN, and is currently serving as the President of the Southern Baptist Convention. He holds a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Philosophy from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Science from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. Steve has authored several books, including "Pray Like it Matters" and "Share Jesus Like it Matters". He is married to Donna, and they have four children and 10 grandchildren.
