Our society is clearly becoming more secular and hedonistic, throwing off biblical accountability and propping itself up with evolutionism. The values of such a society are “personal peace” and “prosperity” – not biblical absolutes. Such a culture encourages every man to be a law unto his own self. And when that is excessively damaging to society, authoritarian control steps in. In the absence of people who trust in the Bible, people will trust the government to be the final authority.

Too long has the church allowed “pseudo-science” (1 Timothy 6:20) in the form of evolutionism to go uncontested, coming up with compromised Bible interpretations and focusing on other areas of ministry. Christians must address the key issues that the devil is attacking in their day and time. Otherwise, our adversary wins ground in the ongoing spiritual warfare.

As Martin Luther said nearly five hundred years ago, “Where the battle rages, there the loyalty of the soldier is proved, and to be steady on all the battlefield besides is mere flight and disgrace, if he flinches at that point.”
