It was 1868, just nine years after the publication of Charles Darwin’s The Origin of Species, and the search for “the missing link” was gathering steam. Researchers were called to the site and discovered a few “unique” qualities to the remains. Sure enough, the site became “one of the first to establish the ancient roots of modern humans”, according to the Smithsonian Institution’s description.

This was Cro-Magnon man, and in honor of the 150-year anniversary of this discovery, a team of French scientists got permission to medically examine the most complete skull among the four present. The researchers decided, based on CAT scans, that a genetic disease which led to large warts and tumors was to blame for the holes and dips in his face that made him a curious skull subject!

The obvious question becomes: What really was the big deal about Cro-Magnon man in the first place? Sounds like he may have simply been part of a poor family group living in primitive conditions in a time of hardship – as many people still do today.

The whole search for “missing links” to try to show proof of evolution is another case where we can look back in history and see how an “agenda” drove scientific conclusions. The “agenda” – which comes from the world, the flesh, and the devil – is to remove the true and living God from the consciousness of man.
