Ecclesiastes 5:8-20 - Naked You Were Born and Naked You Will Die

From Chapter 5:8-20 on the study of the Book of Ecclesiastes, (Kohelet-קֹהֶלֶת), brother Gideon Levytam shares the advice that king Solomon gave to Israel concerning all the evil that takes place under the sun. Solomon points out that in this world there is much oppression, poverty, violence and the perverting of justice. Yet, the godly person’s attitude will cause him to realize that whatever he possesses, it is given to him by God. We all came naked into this world, and we will depart this world in the same way. Therefore, we ought to be thankful to God, enjoy the fruits of our labour, and not trust in our riches.

Daniel 11:42 - 12:1 - The Deliverance of Daniel's People

From Chapter 11:42-12:1 of the prophecy of Daniel (דָנִיאֶל), brother Gideon Levytam continues with the information the angel shares with Daniel regarding a confederation of kings who will come out of the east and north to war against the antichrist. The end times will culminate with a world-wide army which will gather together in the Promised Land, for a final battle which will bring an end to the antichrist and his followers. The angel of the Lord encourages Daniel with the promise, that with the help of the angel Michael, Daniel's people will be delivered, those who are found to be written in the book.

He That Keeps Israels (שֹׁומֵר יִשְׂרָאֵֽל)

From Psalm 83, brother Gideon Levytam presents before us the prayer of Asaph (אָסָף‎), a leading singer of Israel, who cried to God on behalf of his people. The 83rd Psalm (תְהִילִים), is an ancient Jewish prayer to God for His protection from their enemies who wish to destroy them. God said, "This people have I formed for myself, they shall show forth my praise". Isaiah 43:21. God’s enemies continuously say, come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be remembered no more. Psalm 83:4. Throughout history, satan, the enemy of God, has sought to frustrate God’s plan of blessing for this world, by influencing many to reject God and His plan of blessing by persecuting Israel and seeking its demise. In spite of satan’s attempts to destroy Israel, we can rest assured that “Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep”. Psalm 121:4

Ecclesiastes 5:1-7 - It is Better Not to Vow, Than to Vow and Not Pay

From Chapter 5:1-7 on the study of the Book of Ecclesiastes, (Kohelet-קֹהֶלֶת), brother Gideon Levytam relays how king Solomon warned Israel to remember who God is, and how they are to approach Him. God is the creator, He is in heaven and His people are on earth, God’s people are never to make promises to God which they do not intend to fulfill. It is better not to vow, than to vow and not pay. God’s people are called to have godly fear as they live their lives under the sun.

Daniel 11:36-41 - The Antichrist's Evil Doings in the Future Day

From Chapter 11:36-41 of the prophecy of Daniel (דָנִיאֶל), brother Gideon Levytam draws our attention to the shift that takes place in this prophetic message to Daniel. While Antiochus Epiphanes, the Grecian Syrian king, inflicted much sorrow on the Jews during the time of the Ptolemies and the Selucids, this willful king in verses 36-41 is the false Messiah known as the antichrist. This antichrist will rise up in the future, during the tribulation, he will exalt and magnify himself above every god, and will speak against the God of Israel. In his wickedness, the antichrist will enter into the glorious land of Israel, persecute the Jewish people, and bring the abomination which will cause the desolation.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-16 - Two Are Better Than One

From Chapter 4:9-16 on the study of the Book of Ecclesiastes, (Kohelet-קֹהֶלֶת), brother Gideon Levytam directs us to king Solomon’s observation that everyone of us has an inherent need to have a family and friends. Although Solomon failed God in his early days, now in his latter days he teaches his people Israel the importance of certain life factors. Two are better than one, as they can help and support one another, yet even more, three are better than two. Solomon observed that when one submits to God’s instructions, they are blessed in their marriages and in their relationships with others. When God Himself becomes the central person in their lives, the people are blessed and a three fold cord is not quickly broken
