Ecclesiastes 7:1-3 - Good Name is Better Than Precious Ointment

From Chapter 7:1-3 on the study of the Book of Ecclesiastes, (Kohelet-קֹהֶלֶת), brother Gideon Levytam explains that in every situation under the sun, God’s people are to make things better. King Solomon advised his people Israel that to have a good name was more important than having costly perfume. WHY? Because living a godly life honours God and is a blessing to others. That one aught to remember that life is short and that death comes to all of us, for there is appointed a day when each one of us will leave this world. Therefore, even through days of sorrow and sadness, the godly will turn to God, trusting Him to provide them with joy and gladness, despite the circumstances.

Daniel 12:4-8 - Shut Up the Words and Seal Up the Book

From Chapter 12:4-8 of the prophecy of Daniel (דָנִיאֶל), brother Gideon Levytam relates to us the instruction that Daniel received, to shut up the words and to seal up the book. While Daniel’s prophecy was valuable to the Jewish people during Daniel’s days, its full fulfilment will take place at the time of the end. When Daniel in his vision, was by the great river of Hiddekel, he saw two additional angels, asking each other how long it would be till the end of these wonders. The angel's response was, for a time, times, and an half a times, (3 1/2 years). This relates to the second half of the seven-year tribulation period, when the suffering, scattered nation of Israel will come to faith in Yeshua, their promised Messiah.

Hebrews 1:1 - Introduction to the Book of Hebrews (Part Two) (אֶל־הָעִבְרִים)

From the study on the Book of Hebrews, (אֶל־הָעִבְרִים). Brother Gideon Levytam continues with the second part of the introduction of the letter to the Hebrew believers in Yeshua, Jesus the Messiah. The Hebrew author presents the person of God the Son Yeshua/Jesus, who became a man and entered into this world just as the prophets of Israel had predicted. He came in order to become a substitutionary sacrifice, taking away the sin of the world, thus providing redemption to all who believe. Yeshua the Messiah is greater than the prophets, the angels, Moses, Aaron, the priesthood, the covenants, the sacrifices and more, for He is greater than all.

Psalm 10:1-18 - Lament at the Seeming Prosperity of the Wicked

From Psalm 10:1-18, brother Gideon Levytam points us to the godly psalmist of Israel, who cried to God for help when he experienced times of trouble. The psalmist was looking at the behaviour of those who are proud and wicked, and was discouraged because, although they rejected God, outwardly, they seemed to prosper in all they did. God knows and sees everything that the wicked do, their persecution of the poor and needy, eventually the wicked will be judged. and the LORD will reign as King forever and ever.

Daniel 12:2-3 - The Resurrection of Them That Sleep in the Dust

From Chapter 12:2-3 of the prophecy of Daniel (דָנִיאֶל), brother Gideon Levytam shares what the angel told Daniel concerning the resurrection of believing Israel, and of those who had died over the generations. After the seven years of tribulation, Jesus the Messiah will return, and then many godly of Daniel’s people shall rise from the dead, in order to enter into the promised 1000 year- long Messianic kingdom. These resurrected ones will shine as the brightness of the firmament, because they turned many to righteousness. Those who died in their sins without forgiveness will also rise, but, they will rise at the end of the 1000 year- long Messianic kingdom, sadly, to be cast into everlasting shame and contempt.

Ecclesiastes 6:1-12 - Life Without God is Filled With Dissatisfaction

From Chapter 6:1-12 on the study of the Book of Ecclesiastes, (Kohelet-קֹהֶלֶת), brother Gideon Levytam explains how king Solomon sees additional evils and dissatisfaction that takes place here in this world. Although one may receive riches, wealth, and honour from God, yet because of sin, their soul is not filled with good. One may live a long life, yet, throughout their life there is suffering and dissatisfaction. It is only when God is the center in one’s life that they can find satisfaction and fulfilment under the sun.

Hebrews 1:1 - Introduction to the Book of Hebrews (Part One) (אֶל־הָעִבְרִים)

An introduction from Gideon Levytam to the study on the Book of Hebrews, a letter to Hebrew believers in Yeshua, Jesus the Messiah. The Hebrew author presents the person of God the Son, Yeshua/Jesus, who became a man and entered into this world just as the prophets of Israel had predicted.

Psalm 9:1-20 - David Looks Forward to the End of Days

From Psalm 9:1-20, brother Gideon Levytam relates how David praised God whole-heartedly for defending him against his enemies. David is looking forward to the time when his LORD, in the person of the Messiah, will dwell in Zion and His praises will be sung by His people Israel, as a testimony to all. The wicked who reject God will be judged, but the poor and needy who trust in the LORD will be remembered, and rejoice in the salvation of the LORD.
