They grew up in church, but now—it’s just crushing.

As followers of Christ we want our kids to not only know Jesus, but follow Him, right? The reality is no matter how faithful we are to point our kids to Christ, there are no guarantees they’ll remain in the faith without fail. Look at our own lives. Have we always been steadfastly on fire for the Lord? I know I went through a stage of rebellion until Christ’s salvation became real to me. I heard a story recently about a parent who got angry because their adult kids showed no interest in teaching their kids about Christ. Be loving. Anger just pushes them further away. And so does interference. God doesn’t need us to save our kids. Sometimes He saves them in spite of us.
