It’s not MY fault, he looked at me.

Some kids can tend to blame others for their mistakes and failures. As Christian parents we should teach humility and a spirit of apology. We should help our kids understand mistakes are part of life, and it's important to take responsibility for our actions. Proverbs 28:13 says, "Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy." Next, MODEL humility and apologize when you make a mistake. Show them this kind of behavior shows strength and integrity. It also fosters good relationships. Lastly, teach forgiveness. Colossians 3:13 says, "Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you." The most importantly, teach the Gospel. Without salvation moral behavior is vanity.
