Weekend isn’t all about fun. Is it?

“I don’t want to get up. It’s too early.” I’ve gotten that a couple of times with my four kids. Unfortunately, they come at 10:30 or 11:00 IN THE MORNING. While it’s a proven fact teens do need more sleep than most adults, life doesn’t always have to revolve around it. It’s a priority issue. If they want to go to the beach, amusement park, or shop ‘til they drop, they’re going to get up. That means they can get up to help around the house. Now, it’s not easy, but the reality of life is we all have responsibilities EVEN on the weekend. Having a household chore or obligation teaches responsibility, respect, and satisfaction of a job well done. It can be a struggle, but the reward tomorrow is worth it.
