My kids just don’t value money.

How can they if we don’t teach them? Proverbs 22:6 tells us to teach our kids the way they should go EARLY. Teaching them about money is no exception. First, give them an allowance. Teach them that EVERYTHING is God’s, especially money. He gives it to us to manage. Help them create a budget – write it down. Giving back to God cheerfully is important before we spend anything. Write that first. Next, encourage them to save money. The last part of Proverb 21:10 says, “a foolish man devours all he has." Then, jot down what they have left to spend on their wants and desires. Also, practice these principles openly, especially the generosity part. By teaching our kids biblical stewardship it’ll prepare them to manage their homes, passing it on to the next generation.
