We’ve all heard the stories of human trafficking. I was watching the news last week, and there was a report of a teenager who was targeted during a festival in conservative West Michigan. Taking our kids out to the mall, festivals, amusement parks, or the beach can be kind of scary. Let me suggest training our kids early. Holding hands as they walk is a great idea. If they’re walking a short distance to talk to a friend or relative, train your kids to tell you first. Make sure your kids know your full name and phone number in case they get separated. But, remember, fear can be paralyzing and contagious. Paul tells us we shouldn’t have a spirit of fear, but of power and love, which is also infectious.
I get so stressed taking my kids anywhere!
