I’ll never forget where I was when planes started crashing into the World Trade Center in New York City. I was at a radio conference in Michigan. That whole day was a time of uncertainty. Fear gripped the nation and many families. While 9/11 kind of events don’t happen every day, they DO happen. Many people respond differently. Some are calm. Others get quiet because they’re afraid and worried. Others just talk and talk because they’re so nervous. As parents, our kids take cues from us. Let me suggest when we’re “going through it” that we look to God first. Prayer is vital. Reading Scripture is also good. Then remind our kids what Jesus said, “In Me, you have peace. In the world, you’ll have tribulation. But I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
Where were you on THE 9/11?
