Have you ever made a mistake as a parent? Stupid question. Let me ask it another way. Have you ever made a really stupid decision that affected not just you, but your entire family? Affair? Drug addiction? Spent time in jail or prison? Maybe it was before was B-C, before Christ. Whatever it is caused separation from your kids. You’re spending little time with them. You say to yourself, “They can’t possibly want to see me.” While you COULD be right, chances are they DO. Everybody needs a mom or dad. Hopefully God’s done a work in your heart and you’ve changed. If God can forgive you, your kids can. It’s going to hard. But the Holy Spirit can help. Reach out to your kids today.
