Change can be painful.

Have you ever experienced this? You call your family together and announce that you going on a vacation, or buying a new house, or you’re having another baby. After the initial excitement, your kids get ornery and out of control. Why? I remember my daughter—who has to have everything planned out—would do this just before doing something fun—almost sabotaging it. It’s probably because kids have a hard time with change. They’ve got a lot less life experiences to help them through it. They don’t typically understand that God will protect them during life’s uncertainties. How do we help? By reassuring them that God still loves them and that God has a plan and is in control. And guess what? Our Heavenly Father is saying the same thing to us.
