It’s like he’s not even thinking. What am I going to do?

I was a teen driver once. Right after I got my license, I had to drive in a light snow. Not a big deal in Michigan. But I wasn’t cautious enough. Long story short, I scratched the entire side of our family car, slowly sliding alongside a stop sign post. A year later, while hot-dogging in the snow, I ran the other car into a mailbox secured in concrete. Now, my dad made me pay for it—half the deductible and all the legwork to get it fixed. When our kids are irresponsible, make them responsible for it. In this case, I saw the real repair costs first hand. Proverbs 13:18 reminds us, “Refuse discipline and end up homeless; embrace correction and live an honored life” (The Message).
