Blood is a marvel of design with many complex components. One example is serum albumin. Produced by the liver, serum albumin regulates blood volume and pressure, ensures proper blood chemistry, transports molecules and medications, and protects the body from protein digestion outside the digestive tract. As the Bible emphasizes the importance of blood for physical life, it also points to eternal life found through the sacrificial blood of Jesus.
