The Essential Of A Renewed Vision
Scripture tells us that without a vision the people perish. Why is this so, and why is it so difficult to maintain such a clear vision? The vision sets the purpose and object of faith before us. Christ is our vision. Faith to believe God for all that He desires to do is given to the one who sees clearly Christ as his objective and understands clearly the knowledge of His will towards which he is pursuing.
The Christ Of The Revelation
What is it that Christ is glorified, and in heaven? One has only to see Him by faith in the book of Revelation, coming in the clouds of heaven, but this time, not in the meekness and lowliness of the Servant, but this time in the garb of the conquering King, the eternal Savior having come to claim His own, and set all things right. He that is Faithful and True is coming in His glory.
Completeness In Christ
The salvation which God has provided for mankind is perfect in every way, and complete in its application to the needs of men. There is nothing lacking in God's provision in Christ, so that the believer may glorify God presently, and know for certain that he will be kept for eternity, ever in the eternal peace and blessing of God, for he has been placed IN CHRIST.
Abraham Had No Bible
How does God speak to us? It is by the Spirit according to His word. In the case of Abraham, who lived before the Bible was written, God revealed Himself to Abraham by appearing to him. With regard to God speaking through the Scriptures, or by His appearing in Abraham's day, God spoke clearly for the one who would understand clearly. He has not changed.
God's Wakeup Call
God moves in mysterious ways, and one of those ways is to wake an individual up to reality, the reality of who God is. It is an awakening also to the reality of who sinful man is before God, and of God's singular way, His provision to man, by which he can know God. Praise God when He awakens the lost sinner to the plight of his situation, but also to its remedy in Christ.
The Path In The Mighty Waters
Why is mankind called to believe in the almighty power of God, even as we see in the history of Israel when they traversed the Red Sea on dry land? It is because God is God, and not a man. Beyond that, He is holy, and man is not, in and of himself. God shows forth His power and majesty that man might understand what it means to follow Christ, and know Him, the power of His resurrection, that power being manifested in the life.
The Greatest Commandment
Why is it that to love God is the greatest commandment? It is in part because it is the highest and greatest calling by God to man, that man should truly know Him. The man who knows Christ is filled with the love of Christ. The man who professes to know Christ, and does not show forth the love of God by the Spirit, knows Christ very little, perhaps not at all.
The Constant Declaration Of God
Every day God speaks, and is speaking. His voice resounds throughout nature, the heavens and the earth. In the Bible are His words speaking every day to the one who is open to seek, and willing to know. Nature reveals His attributes; the Gospel reveals His heart, compassion, justice, and mercy. Above all, the message of salvation is the declaration is His eternal Love.
The Bedrock Of God's Faithfulness
What is the faithfulness of God? It is that holy, and unswerving commitment to honor HIs word, by fulfilling it perfectly in His time and in His way. God does not disassociate His person from His word. One is the expression of the other. The one who would profess faith in Christ is the one who will honor and obey His word, for in so doing, one is obeying Christ.
Living By Living Words
How does one come to know God? Certainly, it is by God's way. That way is by faith, but a faith that is aligned, and according to His word. How is this possible? Where does the power come from to live such a life of faith? It comes from the Spirit of God, using the living word, to direct faith to be wholly in Christ. All is possible to the one who truly trusts in the faithfulness of God.
